Privacy policy
What is collected, what is stored on your device, and what you can turn off.
Short answer
Playbright does not ask for an account and does not collect personal information directly. Checklist progress is stored in your own browser and never leaves your device. Standard server logs and third party services that deliver content on the site may process technical data such as your IP address, browser and cookies.

Summary
Playbright has no accounts, no newsletter sign-up and no forms that collect personal information. We do not build user profiles and we do not sell data. Some technical data is processed automatically when any website is served, and third party services that deliver content on this site use cookies and similar technologies as described below.
What we collect directly
Nothing that identifies you. There is no sign-in, no comment system and no contact form. If you choose to email us, we hold that email and any information in it for as long as it takes to answer you and to keep a record of a correction.
What is stored on your device
| What | Why | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Checklist progress | So you can work through a long checklist in sections | Your browser's local storage, this device only |
| Browser cache | So pages load faster on a return visit | Your browser |
| Third party cookies | Set by services that deliver content, including advertising | Your browser, controllable in browser settings |
Clearing site data for this site in your browser removes the first two. The third is controlled through your browser's cookie settings.
Server logs
Like any website, the server that delivers these pages records standard request information: IP address, the page requested, the time, the referring page and the browser user agent. This is used to keep the site running and secure and to understand which pages are used, not to identify individuals.
Third party services
This site uses third party services to deliver some content, which may include advertising delivered by Google and its partners. Those services may set or read cookies and may process technical data such as your IP address, device and browser information, and your interaction with the content they serve, including for personalized advertising where that is permitted in your region.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by Google through Google's ad settings, and you can control third party cookies in your browser settings.
- Information about how Google uses data from sites that use its services is published in Google's privacy and terms.
We do not control the cookies set by third party services and we do not receive the personal data they process.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data relating to you, including access, correction, deletion and objecting to certain processing. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom these come from the GDPR and UK GDPR. In California they come from the CCPA as amended. Since we do not hold personal data about visitors beyond email correspondence, a request will usually be answered with that fact, and we will act on any correspondence you ask us to delete.

Children
This site is written for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of the page changes and the substance of the change is described here. This version is dated September 20, 2026.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to use the calculators?
No. There is no sign-in anywhere on the site. The calculators run entirely in your browser, and the numbers you type are not sent to a server or stored by us.
Where is my checklist progress stored?
In your browser's local storage, on the device you used. It never leaves that device, it is not readable by us, and clearing your browser's site data for this site removes it. It also means progress does not transfer to another device or to a colleague.
How do I control cookies?
Through your browser settings, which let you block or delete cookies for a site, and through the browser's privacy controls for third party cookies specifically. Google's ad settings page also lets you control personalization for Google services across the web.
Is this site intended for children?
No. Playbright is written for adults who buy, build, inspect and maintain playgrounds: parents, school and park staff, childcare operators and designers. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
